College sports apparel must have that one thing in order to be represent school pride: college logo. What is it about logos that make them an essential part of sports apparel?
- Brand enhancement –Logos are used to enhance the brand they represent because a brand cannot exist without a logo. In order for a specific brand to make waves, it must have a logo.
- Provides a distinct identity – There are cases where the logo is used instead of the brand itself to create a strong identity. A good example of this is the eaten apple logo of the giant company Apple.
- Merchandising – Logos can also be used to merchandise products. For sports teams, their merchandise must have the logo in order for its supporters to buy it. Also, having the logo on the product will identify them as a proud supporter of the team.
